Founded in 2005 by Kaustubh Shende — a third-generation farmer from Maharashtra — Swanandi Spices is built on a single belief: that the world deserves turmeric grown, harvested and shipped with the same reverence with which it was once offered in temple kitchens.

Today we partner with smallholder families across the heartland of Maharashtra, paying fair-trade premiums and reinvesting in seed, soil and schools.
